A student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Zoe Reardon recently earned recognition as a Second Century Scholar, which entails a four-year, merit-based scholarship. In addition, she is the recipient of an International Baccalaureate Scholarship. A business major, Zoe Reardon is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) honor society.
Established in 1924 at the University of Illinois, ALD is a national honor society that recognizes academic excellence among first-year students. Each year, ALD introduces a National Service Project. The theme of the 2019 project is children, and all ALD chapters are invited to design a local service project that serves young people. ALD suggested ideas such as free music lessons to give students exposure to the arts and spark their creativity. Other ideas that have been proposed by the organization include a school supply drive, a food collection drive, after-school tutoring programs, and free sports activities organized by college athletes.
